GAC AION Y

The Aion Y Plus is another Chinese branded electric cross over in the UAE market that comes with a decent combination of power and performance. A 201 hp electric motor and 225 Nm of torque, means good speed and power, with a whopping top speed of 150 km/h, quite good for an EV. With a strong 63.2 kWh battery, AION Y Plus promise a driving range of up to 410 km on a single charge, making it ideal for both city commutes and long-distance travel. The cabin, and features are also plenty.

This smaller, compact SUV is packed with a 63 kWh battery which promises 410 km of range in single charge which to me seem quite sufficient as I mostly drive around Jeddah. The power figure of 200 hp along with 225 Nm of torque makes it quite a regular SUV, and it seems quite fast. This Chinese brand is in the process of introducing their production to the Kingdom, and I’m looking forward to exploring, because time has come for EVs, and I want one that supports that I already now use for every commuting.

If you’re getting a 500 km range in a single charge is something every EV buyer will like. The AION Y Plus promises the same with its 150kW of battery, supported by the 64 kWh lithium iron battery pack, which is great. Then there are quick charging options just in case you are in the longer drive. Not just that the car is fine inside too, a spacious and comfortable cabin with all the features that one wants in this segment. Overall good option in many EVs options in the market.

I happened to check out the AION Y plus available in the Chinese market, and the car looks quite well packaged. In fact, I’m amazed by the way the Chinese companies are producing such brilliant EVs, one after the another. The AION Y Plus has a 75kWh battery which promises over 600 km of range, which is just over what most buyers want in Saudi Arabia, along with fast-charging in less than 15 minutes make it a very practical one. I hope to see this model of the kingdom along with so many others.

Last I checked, this vehicle isn’t available on sale right now in KSA, but few details of this electric SUV intrigued me a lot. Like for example the 500 km of range in single charge, two battery packs of 50 and 65 kWh, power of 200hp and 225nm of torque under 4.5meter length makes it a daily driver. This much range is enough for a few days of driving and not to worry about range. The looks and appearance of the car are also great, so I’m looking forward to the price of this car.

Looking at the subcompact SUV in its all-electric avatar is something new and fresh. A good option for daily driving and also for small families with its sleek design and plush interior. The AION Y Plus has a 63 kWh battery which is quite okay for the size of the car, but the range of 480 is just impressive. A power of 100 kW and 225 Nm of torque makes it quite a drivable SUV in the segment. The GAC AION Plus is also loaded with modern features unique, but not sure when it is coming to our market.

The GAC Aion Y Plus brings a refreshing look to the electric SUV market. The futuristic design is complemented by the advanced tech features, including an impressive range of ROUND 600 KM. It is a great choice for city driving with plenty of space and comfort. The performance is smooth, though it does not feel sporty as other EVs. It is a great choice for those who want best in class tech in eco friendly package.
